The
training has been conducted by Dr. Shoiba Saldanha from
ENFOLD, Bangalore and Mr. Manish Kumar from IIYI, Lucknow
for a duration of 1 week The training was mainly for the
FNGO/ SHGs/ VHWs/BHWs/ Gender Team/ VLGPs staffs. The total
number of participants is 31.
The training was focused on addressing issues related to
reproductive and sexual health of both men and women. The
workshop also touched upon the various physiological changes
men and women undergo from childhood to adulthood. The
training also addressed issues related to early child
marriages and child abuse. During the workshop the use of
various kinds of contraceptives for women and men was
explained through the use of pictorial charts which were
further discussed in detail. Preventive health care and the
need for nutritional diet during pregnancy were highlighted.
The entire workshop was conducted in a highly interactive
manner through the use of various communication materials
and through use of magic.
